Invitation to all Quilters
The Prairie Piecemakers' Quilters' Guild 2010 Quilt Show and vendor market will be held 25-26 September 2010 at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina. Today’s quilter is challenged creatively by a myriad of fabrics, designs, techniques, and embellishments. The result is an amazing variety of creations, from colourful, warm and cozy traditional quilts to enchanting, eye-catching wall quilts. With this in mind, Prairie Piecemakers has chosen our show theme, Quilts Unlimited. Our logo, a collection of arrows, symbolizes quilting going in every imaginable direction!

Reception and Judges’ Trunk Show
Join us on September 25th following the first day of our show for a fun evening reception and trunk show. Special guests will be the quilt show judges who will share their quilting journeys and accomplishments. Doors will open at 5:15 PM giving you a chance to view the work of our judges and enjoy some refreshments. At 6:00 PM a light supper will be served with a high tea style menu. Following supper the judges will talk about how they were introduced to the world of quilting, what they’ve learned, what inspires them and who has had the greatest influence on their work. The event will wrap up by 8:00 PM.

Call for Entries
We invite and encourage all quilters to help us showcase the art of quilting in its many forms by entering your quilts in the show. There is no limit to the number of entries per person. Please review the Entry Categories carefully to ensure that your quilts are judged and displayed in the most appropriate category.
Entry Deadlines
Below are key dates and information for entering your quilt(s) in the Quilt Show:
- Download and complete a copy of the Entry Form.
- The deadline to enter your quilt(s) has been extended to September 7th or until maximum number of entries received. Mail your entry form (and fee if applicable) to Sharon Fraser, Unit #20, 4901 Child Ave, Regina, SK, S4X 4T7 or email your form to appliquequeen@accesscomm.ca.
- Tuesday, September 21 between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.: deadline to send your completed quilt(s) to one of the Quilt Show Committee members.
- Sunday, September 26 between 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm: pick up your quilt at Conexus Arts Centre, unless other arrangements have been made.

Promotional Pincushions
Thank you to the many Guild members who have made pincushions. These pincushions have all been distributed and 300 more are needed as soon as possible for the next prize draws (August 19, 20 and 21) and to send to quilt stores to help promote the Quilt Show. Thus the Quilt Show Committee is calling on all Guild members' generosity and creativity in a request to make more of the promotional pin cushions to meet this need.
